LID: LED Integrated Drip
After going to countless concerts and raves, I became aware of my lack of cool LED accessories and started a journey towards making the perfect artucle of clothing: an LED hat that would react to my surroundings. Through many prototypes and iterations, I have been working on the ultimate raver hat, lightweight, stylish and sound reactive!

PCB Design
Version 1:
ESP32 WROOM chip
1 data line for LED's
Micro USB (not pictured because it was a pain to solder)
Large tactile button
Smallest overall footprint
Version 2:
2 data lines for LED's (see DATA and CLK on bottom left)
USB C with through-hole pins (as opposed to SMD), but fit was poor
5 vias for mic support
vias around perimeter for stitching into hat
Version 3:
2 data lines for LED's, included strain relief for wires
USB C with through-hole pins (that fit)
MEMS microphone module soldered onto board (was cheaper than the actual MEMS sensor!)
Smaller tactile button
4 layer board with GND and PWR planes
Rounded corners
6 rightmost vias
Version 4:
Accelerometer support
Integrated MEMS microphone sensor
Smaller resistor and capacitor packages (0603 perhaps?)
LED Power Indicator
